Next, visit Tegalalang Rice Terraces, which use the traditional Balinese irrigation system called Subak, which is recognized by UNESCO. Continue to Kintamani, which offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the active Mount Batur volcano and the serene Lake Batur, nestled within a vast caldera. From various vantage points in the Kintamani highlands, you’ll be treated to a dramatic landscape shaped by volcanic activity.

Finally, visit Tirta Empul Temple, a Hindu temple located in Manukaya Village, Tampaksiring District, Gianyar Regency, Bali. This temple is famous for its holy water, where 1 Balinese Hindu performs a ritual of purification. The name “Tirta Empul” means a holy spring that emerges from the ground.

Start your day with pickup from your hotel in Bali. Head to the Tegalalang Rice Terraces, situated near Ubud. Admire the captivating vista of verdant, cascading rice paddies carved into the hillsides. This iconic landscape showcases the traditional Balinese cooperative irrigation system known as “subak,” believed to have been passed down by the sage Rsi Markandeya in the 8th century.

Together with the rice fields in Pejeng and Campuhan, Tegalalang forms one of the three most stunning terraced landscapes in the Ubud region. Continue to the Tirta Empul Water Temple, a significant and sacred water temple located in the village of Manukaya in Tampaksiring, Gianyar Regency. Renowned for its holy spring water, it is a vital place of worship for Balinese Hindus who come here for ritual purification, known as “Melukat.”

Next, head to the Tibumana Waterfall, a stunning and relatively less crowded natural attraction nestled in the lush jungles of central Bali. It’s located in Banjar Bangun Lebah Kawan, Apuan Village, Susut District, Bangli Regency. Finally, visit the Kanto Lampo Waterfall, a unique and easily accessible waterfall located in the Gianyar Regency of Bali, not far from Ubud. What sets it apart from many other Balinese waterfalls is its distinctive cascade over a stepped rock formation.
